A lush green lawn doesn’t happen on its own — it needs consistent care, and water is one of the biggest factors. But how do you know if your lawn is thirsty? Here are five signs your lawn may be under-watered:

  1. Footprints Remain Visible – If you walk across the grass and your footprints don’t bounce back quickly, the blades are dry.

  2. Grass Appears Dull or Greyish – Healthy grass has a vibrant green tone. Dull patches signal stress.

  1. Dry Soil – Push a screwdriver into the ground; if it’s hard to get in, the soil is too dry.

  2. Wilting or Curling Blades – Grass curls inward to conserve water.

  3. Patchy Growth – Some areas may brown out completely without consistent watering.

How to Fix It: Adjust your irrigation schedule to water deeply but less frequently—this encourages roots to grow strong. Consider upgrading to a smart controller that adjusts watering based on weather conditions, saving both your lawn and helps conserve water.
